How do you engage students while teaching a financial subject like revenue models?
We’re decided to round up our most engaging ways we’ve discovered. We encourage you to try . . .
Revenue Models Matching Card Game
Step 1: Match the Cards
Students start by matching revenue model definitions cards like…

To familiar companies that use those revenue models:
The cards actually teach students the revenue model definitions – no textbook required!
Step 2: Brainstorm
Next, students brainstorm ways they could use 9 different revenue models:

After exploring a wide range of revenue models they could potentially use, they’re ready to move onto the final step…
Step 3: Apply
Finally, students pick the model(s) they think will be most profitable for their company…

…and now they’re ready to add them to their Business Model Canvas (and of course start validating them).
Try It!
This is a really fun way to teach revenue models that we’ve had a lot of success with. Try it out for yourself and let us know if you’re students love it as much as ours did.
